ON THE ROAD
with Gerald Coates.
So far the ON THE ROAD 2019 autumn series of meetings have borne good fruit across Christchurch | Bournemouth and Poole!
For our third and final meeting of 2019 we welcome to the stage: Gerald Coates.
Gerald has been in Christian ministry for over 40 years, both as a pastor, author and broadcaster. He is the founder of the Pioneer network of churches, which were established to develop new churches across the UK and engage in mission globally. Initially it began with a small group of people meeting together in Cobham, but this number grew to over six hundred and soon became the network of churches we know today. Gerald coined the phrase 'new church movement' instead of the older 'house church movement' as it was initially known.< read more... Who is Gerald Coates? >
He has written 9 books to date including: ‘Divided We Stand?’, ‘He Gives Us Signs’ and ‘An Intelligent Fire’; and has been called ‘a pastor, a pioneer and a provocateur’ by his ghostwriter! His books, and ministry, have changed the very landscape of the UK church bringing a livelier, more personal, and non-religious Christianity to the fore. He is a lively motivational speaker who has graced the stage at many a conference globally.
He is now team leader of Pioneer Engage, a cross generational church in Leatherhead.
This meeting will be held at Christchurch Christian Centre which seats 350 people in its main floor and balcony on Millhams Street, Christchurch (see map below) so do plan early to guarantee your place as seating is available on a first come, first served basis!
Worship will be led by Brian Edgeley, Finn Rowden, and the Filling Station worship team; which is made up of musicians and singers from a number of different local church worship groups across the area. Unity at its best.
We look forward to welcoming you there as you come and join us.
