The Spirit of the OVERCOMER:
Joining the Dots - On The Road
Our keynote speaker tonight is conference speaker Dr. Jonathan Oloyede. He is a sought after speaker who is well known for uniting the church in times of prayer & worship; and inspiring people to work together for the greater good.
Dr. Oloyede is the key catalyst behind NDOP - The National Day of Prayer & Worship. His vision is to see the United Kingdom saturated with prayer! Because of this he has previously initiated the 'Year for London' and the 'National Canopy of Prayer' - which was a five year 24 hour prayer-chain for the Nation. This prayer initiative has held and supported several large stadium events including the 'National Day of Prayer and Worship at Wembley Stadium' in September 2012, when over 30,000 Christians gathered from across the British Isles in unity to pray and worship together and pray for the Nation. He has also worked with the UK Prayer Mission to bring South Korean Prayer Warriors on prayer pilgrimages to the UK.
His latest project is the London School of Prayer and Ministry which gives 10 weeks of training on Prayer and Ministry. It aims to release people into a new level of prayer and ministry and enable them to live transparent lives where they live and work.
Born in Britain but bred in Nigeria, Dr. Oloyede is a medical doctor by profession and called as a missionary to England and Europe. He was radically saved from Islam within the wake of the revival that hit the Nigerian Universities in the 1880's. Knowing his conversion was very real he trained for Christian ministry and was ordained into Pastoral Ministry in 1993 at Glory Bible Church where he served in full-time ministry for 15 years.
During a visit to England he felt God speak to him saying "Jonathan, you are not in England by accident but you are here by Divine design... therefore drop your agenda and pick up my programme". In 2008, Jonathan and his wife, Abbiih, moved to East London and planted an independent church called City Chapel, in Beckton, where they are both team leaders.
In October 2014 Jonathan visited the New Forest town of Lyndhurst for what turned out to be a seminal event for the area. He inspired the New Forest church leaders to work and fellowship together and work together for the greater good. Both Wessex Filling Station directors and members of the technical team were involved with that meeting.
Tonight, Dr. Oloyede will be speaking about 'the spirit of the overcomer' and will base what he has to say around the passage in Ephesians chapter 6 where it talks about putting on the armour of God.
This evening will be another special evening of united praise and worship ably led by members of our worship team. Tonight Chrissy Mason is our Worship Leader.
Jonathan will bring us into a place of community mindedness and inspire us with his global perspective of what is happening in this nation spiritually, how the Holy Spirit is calling us to our knees in prayerful petition and how the church is beginning to experience revival and Gods restoration.
Why not come along and see what all the fuss is about!
This is NOT a ticketed event. Free entry on a first come first served basis. The Village Hotel ‘Inspiration Suite’ Auditorium seats 200 with overflow for 50+ standing in the Inspiration Bar directly adjacent to the main suite. This is a another great opportunity for the church to come together in unity and lift high the name of Jesus.
